Florida's Suwannee River Valley

In an effort to show our appreciation to the Florida’s Suwannee River Valley tourism community the Florida’s Suwannee River Valley Tourist Development office is pleased to announce the Annual Tourism Awards.

These awards are designed to recognize individuals and businesses that go above and beyond the call of duty and maintain a high standard of quality service to Florida’s Suwannee River Valley visitors. These awards are for service in the 2012 calendar year.

We need your help in nominating the candidates. Below is a brief description of each award. Attached you will find the nomination forms for the awards. Please fill in the nomination forms and have them back to the TDC office by April 30, 2013. Should you have any questions, call Lori Regan at (386) 758-1312

Outstanding Hotel Employee - This is designed to recognize the hotel employee that goes that extra step to make the guest feel special. The recipient of this award should show Florida’s Suwannee River Valley spirit and a winning attitude where his or her job is concerned. He or she could be a representative from any department of the property except management. This award is chosen by a tourism industry panel.

Outstanding Campground Employee - This is designed to recognize the campground employee that goes that extra step to make the guest feel special. The recipient of this award should show Florida’s Suwannee River Valley spirit and a winning attitude where his or her job is concerned. He or she could be a representative from any department of the property except management. This award is chosen by a tourism industry panel.

Outstanding Management Employee - This is designed to recognize the member of tourism management that goes that extra step to make the guest feel special. The recipient of this award should show Florida’s Suwannee River Valley spirit and a winning attitude where his or her job is concerned. He or she is a representative from management in any tourism industry. This award is chosen by a tourism industry panel.

Outstanding Attractions Employee - This award is designed to recognize a highly creative and successful non-hotel employee in a tourism service related business that goes the extra step to make the quest feel special by providing excellent service.

Outstanding Agri-tourism Partner - This is designed to recognize the individual or organization whose efforts have contributed to the success of an agri-tourism venue, festival or event.

The “Always There” Award - This award will recognize the individual who is always willing to give time, talent and resources to further the reach of Florida’s Suwannee River Valley Tourism. This individual goes above and beyond the call of duty to get the job done. The recipient can come from, either the hotel, attraction, or service aspect of Florida’s Suwannee River Valley Tourism. This award is chosen by a tourism industry panel.

Best Strategic Partner - This award is to recognize the individual or organization, which shows exemplary service to Florida’s Suwannee River Valley Tourism. A strong partner is always willing to work in conjunction with the TDC and other industry partners to help promote our destination. This award is chosen by a tourism industry panel.

The Director’s Award for Excellence in Tourism - Chosen by the Florida’s Suwannee River ValleyTDC Executive Director, this award recognizes an individual that has shown steadfast and unwavering service to our industry.

Community Service Award - This award honours an individual or organization whose community service efforts consistently contribute to the success of Florida’s Suwannee River Valley tourism and to our quality of life.
